Every motorcyclist knows or has them: protective clothing with integrated protectors. But what if you want to wear something different on a ride? So be on the road without protection? It doesn’t have to be, because there are back protectors that have to be worn separately. These are worn like a kind of tight-fitting backpack under the sweater and protect the back and spine. So you can sometimes leave the jacket with integrated protectors at home. I present you here 3 different models:

A high level of air permeability thanks to additional ventilation slits ensures that it is comfortable to wear. At the same time, it is skin-friendly and sweat-absorbent.
DAINESE WAVE 12 D1 AIR BACK PROTECTOR
The Dainese company invented the back protector in 1979 and has continued to develop it ever since. This is how the DAINESE WAVE 12 D1 AIR BACK PROTECTOR came about. As a standard requirement, it should be mentioned that back protectors are light, ergonomic, equipped with ventilation and adjustable straps. The WAVE 12 D1 AIR fully meets these attributes! Visually, based on the pictures, I would say that it looks a bit more compact than the SUPER SHIELD 834 BACK PROTECTOR. In addition, in the comparison mentioned, it also has a lumbar joint. Personally I think it’s a bit more “discreet” overall and it fits under your usual clothes.
The DAINESE WAVE 12 D1 AIR BACK PROTECTOR doesn’t have a bad review and with 4.8 out of 5.0 stars seems to be an absolute bestseller and life saver. In fact, motorcycle back protectors are often cited as one of the best investments in your health. I will report after my purchase.
